Meta Glasses by LISA start at $399, but the fine print matters more than the price. Meta’s LISA store page caps sales at one pair per style, and each pair ships with a random blind-box charm you cannot pick, swap, or buy separately. Meta revealed the collab with the BLACKPINK star at Connect this week.
What Meta Glasses by LISA include
The collection has two frames. One is the Meta Adventurer LISA Edition, a rectangle optical frame in Moonlit Sky with Blush lenses. The Meta Capri LISA Edition, by contrast, is a cat-eye sunglasses frame in Eclipse with grey lenses. Both get custom star temple tips, a quilted charging case with up to 40 hours of battery, and the usual Meta AI, open-ear audio, and 3K video features.
Prescription lenses are supported, including single vision, progressives, and Transitions. However, they add cost, starting at $100 for single vision. According to Meta, the glasses sell in every market where Meta Glasses are available.
The fine print on limits and charms
First, the limit. Meta says each customer can buy one pair per style, counted across all LISA Edition styles and colorways combined. So a fan can own at most one Adventurer and one Capri.
Next, the charms. Each pair comes with one collectible charm based on LISA’s pets, sold “blind-box style.” Meta says the charms are not sold separately, not covered by warranty, and cannot be exchanged for a different design. Returns also work only as a full set, since the glasses and charm ship as a bundle.
Meta’s own page is also inconsistent about the count. The product copy promises “one of 14 collectible charms,” while the FAQ describes “a set of six designs.” Meta’s video shows 14 charms, with several pets repeated in different finishes. That suggests six pet designs in multiple colors, although Meta has not spelled it out.
Why it matters
Blind boxes are a familiar collector hook in gadgets, too, as the recent Kodak Charmera showed. Here, though, the purchase cap limits how many chances any one fan gets. Meta even frames the randomness as part of the fun, encouraging fans to “collect, trade, and compare with friends.”
